Water damage cleanup that doesn't stop at the surface

When a pipe bursts, a water heater fails or a supply line lets go, water spreads fast through flooring, baseboards and walls. Mopping up what you can see is only the start. Water that has soaked into drywall, framing, subfloors and cabinets needs to be found and dried, or it keeps causing damage.

Our water damage cleanup covers the whole mitigation job:

  • Water removal: extraction of standing water from carpet, pad, tile and hard floors. Emergency water extraction.
  • Moisture detection: mapping where water has traveled, including inside walls and under flooring.
  • Controlled demolition where required: removing wet drywall, baseboards, insulation or pad that can't be dried in place.
  • Structural drying and dehumidification: air movers and dehumidifiers placed to dry the building materials themselves.
  • Moisture monitoring: readings taken until the affected materials are dry.
  • Documentation: photos, moisture readings and drying records for you and your insurer.

Structural Drying Las Vegas

What structural drying means

Structural drying is the process of removing moisture from the building itself: drywall, wood framing, subfloor, concrete and cabinetry. It works in two parts:

Air movement across wet surfaces pulls moisture out of the materials. Dehumidification removes that moisture from the air so it doesn't settle back into the building. In some cases wall cavities or baseboards are opened so air can reach wet areas.

The job is finished when moisture readings show the materials are dry, not when the surface feels dry. See our full mitigation and dry-out process.

Water damage in Las Vegas buildings

Local building styles and climate shape how water damage behaves here.

Slab foundationsMost valley homes sit on concrete slabs, so slab leaks can soak flooring and the bottom of walls before anyone notices.
Dry desert airSurfaces dry quickly here, which can hide water still trapped inside walls, under cabinets and in subfloors.
Hard waterMineral-heavy water wears on water heaters, supply lines and fittings over time, a common source of sudden leaks.
Multi-story buildingsIn condos, apartments and offices, water from one level often travels to the units or suites below.

Cleanup after plumbing leaks

Many of the losses we dry out start with plumbing: burst pipes, slab leaks, failed water heaters, cracked supply lines and overflowing toilets. Once the plumbing issue has been stopped or repaired, we take care of the water damage it left behind. Burst pipe and leak water damage.

Outside water is a different situation. For monsoon storms and flash flooding, see flood cleanup. For backups from drains or sewer lines, see sewage cleanup.

FAQ

Water damage cleanup questions

How soon should water damage cleanup start?

As soon as possible. The longer water sits, the further it spreads into walls and flooring and the more materials may need to be removed. We're available 24/7 at (702) 354-5811.

What's the difference between water removal and structural drying?

Water removal (extraction) takes out standing water. Structural drying removes the moisture that has soaked into drywall, framing, subfloors and other materials. Most water losses need both.

Can I dry it out myself with fans?

Fans can dry surfaces, but they often don't reach water trapped inside walls, under cabinets or beneath flooring, and without dehumidification the moisture stays in the building. Moisture readings are the way to confirm materials are actually dry.

Do you rebuild after the cleanup?

No. We focus on mitigation and dry-out. When the structure is dry, you can hire any contractor for repairs, and our documentation shows what was removed and dried.
